The Last Resort Bungee: Bhotekoshi Bungy Jump

• Trip Overview

Bungy Jump at the Last Resort is an exhilarating adventure activity that you can experience in Nepal. The freedom of leaping into thin air gets the heart racing the adventure junkies. The Last Resort is located on top of a gorge close to the Tibetan border. Luxurious safari tents are set in lush gardens for a peaceful stay in an exotic setting. The Bungy Bridge happens to be the first privately owned bridge in Nepal. It has been specially designed for bungy jumping with a 4x-safety factor and has a loading factor of 41,500 kg or 4.5 tons according to Swiss measurements.

Location: The Last Resort Bungee Jump Site is 100 km from Kathmandu on the Araniko Highway which connects Tibet, China.  The place is called Listikot in the Sindhupalchok District of Nepal. By drive, it takes around 3 hours from Kathmandu.

The Gorge: The Last Resort Bungee takes place on a 166m-wide steel suspension bridge over the Bhoti Kosi River.

The Bridge: Swiss designed, especially for bungee jumping with a 4x safety factor. The bridge has a loading factor of 41,500kg or 4.5 tons. And those are Swiss measurements! The Bungy bridge is the longest in Nepal and also the only privately-owned bridge. Before its construction, locals walked five hours to cross this river gorge.

The Jump: Ultimate Bungy at The Last Resort in Nepal may be the most spectacular Bungy Jump on the Planet. This is the last report remarkable 500ft (160m) drop into the Bhoti Kosi River gorge on the Nepal/Tibet border is the longest free-fall in the world. Designed, constructed, and operated by very experienced Kiwis to exacting international standards your safety is guaranteed. It is Nepal’s, Ultimate Rush. Imagine a bridge over a 160-meter tropical gorge with the Bhote Kosi, one of the world’s wildest rivers raging below… Now Jump.

Bungee jumping in the Last Resort over the Bhotekoshi River is a year-round activity. However, March to May and September to November is the most favorable time to go bungee jumping in the Last Resort because during this time the weather becomes dry and cool.

Special Considerations for Bungee/ Swing:

• Age Range: Riders must be above 18 years or else parent’s consent is required. • Weight Range: All riders for bungee must weigh a minimum of 40 kg to a maximum of 100 kg. For swing must weigh a minimum of 40 kg to a maximum of 120 kg. For tandem swing maximum, the combined couple weight should be 140 kg. • Footwear: Riders must wear tightly closed shoes. • No alcohol may be consumed by the rider prior to taking the ride.

Health Consideration for Bungee/ Swing: Before you go Bungee jump it requires to be confirmed that you do not have the following health conditions. This means clients will not be allowed to use the Bungee Jump in the following cases.

• If the rider has asthma or any respiratory disorders. • If the rider recently had any bone fractures or any other medical surgeries. • If the rider joints can be easily dislocated. • If the rider is taking/has taken any medication for high/low blood pressure. • If the rider is having heart disease. • If the rider is pregnant • If the rider has an addiction to alcohol or drugs • If the rider has epilepsy.

BUNGEE/ SWING ONLY PRICE IN THE LAST RESORT

• Above mentioned rate includes tax. But, it does not include lunch and transportation. Clients need to reach The Last Resort by their own transportation.
• Clients, who have booked Bungee or Swing only, need to reach The Last Resort at 9 AM in the morning for the bungee or swing.
• The above price does not include photos-video. If you want a photo-video package, the extra cost is NPR (Rs) 1800. It includes 2 videos, 10 photos, and a cool The Last Resort t-shirt.

Bungee/ Swing is available only 4 days a week (Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday).

DAY TRIP PACKAGES

• Day Trip Packages include transport and lunch.
• People, who have booked day trip packages, are supposed to report/ arrive at The Last Resort Sales Office at Sagarmatha, Bazaar, Mandala Street at 5:45 AM in the morning on the trip date. Then you start the drive by our bus. You will stop on the way to the resort for a toilet break. Simple breakfast and drinks will be available to buy during the break. You are also welcome to bring your own breakfast. After the activity and a day at the Last Resort, our bus leaves the resort after 4:00 PM (may vary upon conditions like the number of jumpers, weather conditions, and traffic) making it possible for the guests to get back in Kathmandu maximum by 8:00 PM.

. Booking is supposed to be made two days before the trip date. . For booking call direct or Viber or WhatsApp us at +977-9851203181 for any information and availability status on your required date. . At the time of booking, you should make full payment either via eSsewa/ connect IPS or via online bank transfer. Then we will book your Bungee on your given date.

Cancellation Policy:

. Refunds are not made for unused services at the last minute & less than 24 hours. . Cancellation one day (24 hours) before the activity date will incur a 50% cancellation charge. . Cancellation two days or more before the activity date will incur a 15% cancellation charge.

RELAX PACKAGE PRICE WITHOUT ACTIVITY A T THE LAST RESORT 

• Above mentioned Relax package price does not include transport.
• Accommodation is in 2-person and 4-person safari tents in sharing. The tents are all set in the garden and have comfortable beds, blankets, towels, and light. We provide safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

Trip Overview

Bhotekoshi Bungee (Bungy) Jumping: The Last Resort in Nepal is set amidst sprawling terraced slopes, suspended on a high cliff-top gorge above the wild Bhote Kosi River and surrounded by dense jungle and pristine forest. It is home to one of Asia’s Top 10 highest and most spectacular and Nepal’s first Bungy jump sites with its 20 years of legacy. Bungee Jumping in Nepal is a lifetime experience.

The journey to The Last Resort is 4 hours long and is about 100km east of Kathmandu. You can come for a day of adventure and return with a satisfied heart and smile for having achieved the experience of a lifetime—the journey to The Last Resort in itself an adventure. You can experience various beautiful waterfalls and follow the wild Bhotekoshi river into the Gaurishankhar Conservation Area with various flora and fauna.

A quick stop at Simle tells you that you are just 2 hours away from the bungy jumping experience of your dreams. When you reach The Last Resort, the first thing you will notice is the Bungy Bridge; the resort is just across the spectacular suspension bridge. The bridge's height is 160 m, and you will see that it is in between a high cliff-top gorge. This is when your adrenaline will surge up, and your excitement level will grow, but it gets better. Once you cross the bridge and reach the resort, you will be taken to our briefing hall to provide you with all the safety instructions. Your weight will be measured, and according to your weight, you will be grouped. The Jump Master will decide your turn on the day itself, so there is no way to know beforehand. Your group will be taken to the bridge, and when your turn comes, the adrenaline will rush up your spine, and the excitement level will reach its new height.

Clothing Recommended for Bungy:

The Last Resort Bungy Conditions:

• In case of heavy wind & rainfall during the monsoon season, the activity will be stopped for the time being, and then the activity will resume after the weather improves.
• Clients must be above 18 years, or else parent's consent is required.
• Clients must inform us about their health conditions like asthma, recent surgery, epilepsy, intoxication, heart disease, high blood pressure, orthopedic problems, psychological problems, neurological problems, pregnancy, etc.
• The minimum weight for Bungy is 40 kg, and the maximum is 98 kg.
• The schedule is subject to change since we need at least 10 people to run the Trip from Kathmandu, including jumpers, canyoners, or people staying overnight. If the number of people is not enough, the trip will be canceled, but you will be given prior notice.
• In March, April, May, September, October, and November, we run trips six days a week (except on Mondays ).
• We run trips four days a week during other months, i.e., Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Refunds are not made for unused services or last minute (less than 24 hours) cancellations, including bungy jumping, canyon swinging, canyoning, rafting, and/or abseiling & rock climbing when at the site.
• Cancellation one day before the activity date will incur a 50% cancellation charge, whereas cancellation two days or more before the activity date will incur a 15% cancellation charge.

Notice : Guests who are joining a day trip and overnight trip packages are requested to arrive at Sagarmatha, Bazaar, Mandala Street at 5:45 AM on the day of your departure. Then we start the drive by bus. We will stop on the way to the resort for a toilet break. Simple breakfast and drinks will be available to buy during the break. You are also welcome to bring your own breakfast.

What is the minimum number of people required for each activity in the last resort.

For group activities, the following minimums apply- Canyoning – 2 people High ropes – 2 people Rafting – 6 people

Do Bungy and canyon swing run every day on Last Resort?

December to February and June to August. Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday only. March to May and September to November. Every day except Monday.

What is the weight limit for Bungy and swing in The Last Resort?

Minimum: for Bungy and swing the minimum weight is 40kg. Maximum: for Bungy 100kg and swing 120kg. For the tandem swing, the maximum combined weight of two of you should not exceed 140 kgs.

Is there any age restriction for adventure activities in The Last Resort?

Yes. Persons below 18 years of age need the consent of their parent or guardian, who is in attendance at the site.

Can I buy a video of my jump?

The video guy shoots video and still photographs of every jump, and they will show you after your jump. You can decide at the resort if you want to purchase or not. The cost is NPR 2500 per person, including video, 4 pictures, and one free beautiful t-shirt.

How do I get to The Last Resort?

You can book an all-inclusive day trip package or overnight package which includes transport. The bus leaves from The Last Resort office in Kathmandu (Thamel, Mandala Street, Sagarmatha Bazaar) at 6.00 am (reporting time 5.45 am) on our trip days. It will return to Kathmandu at around 8.30 pm on our trip days.

Can one person book for a tandem swing in The Last Resort?

Obviously! Please make sure that you have a friend who is willing to do a jump with you before you decide to book a tandem swing.

About Last Resort Bungee

The Bungee Jump is one of the exciting adventure ventures in Nepal. The people who like to try long-length bungees, Bhote Koshi Bungee Jumps, and who would like to try shorter ones, bungee in Pokhara is recommended Bungee Jumps. Bhote Koshi Bungee Jump is located in eastern Nepal, closer to the Tibet border. This one-day Bungee trip drives about 3 hours from Kathmandu with other tourists. There is another option to get there by private transport too.  While driving to the bungee place, you will cross some attractive villages, lovely valleys, green hills, and terraces. For this bungee tour, you will go from your hotel after breakfast. Lunch, transport, and bungee will be included on this trip. After the Bungee, you will drive back to Kathmandu.

The last resort bungee length is 160m, and it is an adventure tourism activity in Nepal. The last resort's bungee cost is different according to the season.
